Chapter 23. Visiting the Hurricane Dawn Pack
“So, Nate, have you thought about what you will do when you meet Lisa?” my father asked.
Nate stopped his fork in the air and put it on the plate. “I will tell her honestly that I intend to build a real family with her.”
I whistled. “I want to be there to see Lisa’s face.”
“Cameron!” my father warned me. “Honesty may be a good strategy, but you will need more than that to win her. Have you thought of what I said to Cameron?” Then he glanced at me. “Cameron, have you told your brother about what we talked about yesterday?”
“I did, but Nate refused.”
My father let out a long sigh. “My son,” he patted Nate’s shoulder, “your mate with Lisa is important for both of you and both packs. If you fail, we may need to go to war.”
Nate was quiet. He only stared
