Chapter 15

Camille’s POV

“Ah!” Asher screamed as he fell on one knee. He was still in his human form and the only thing poking out are his claws, fangs, and hazardous yet dashing red orbs. An arrow with a red handle was shot at him and it pierced him in the knee.

“OMG!” I panicked, holding my breath. “Are you okay?!” I finally took a step forward and my chest rose and fell with rapid breaths.

He growled louder when more arrows were fired at him alongside daggers. Blood oozed from his torn jeans.

“Stop it! You are killing him.” I screamed into the forest, straining my eyes to see who our attacker was. Waves of nausea rose and began pounding my stomach.

My torch flicked off abruptly and when I tried to turn it back on, I let out an ear-piercing scream into the dark. My screen wasn’t only shattered into pieces, it turned into a perilous monster and a toad jumped out of my hand. My phone was damaged beyond repair and converted into a life toad.
