Jason’s POV

I kicked the tire of my car, holding a hand to my face in frustration. Nyla went through all that because of me, and I have no clue. I have no clue about so many things around.

I got into my car, holding at the steering, she didn’t want me anymore. She hates me, she hates my family. I reminded myself. My mother is the mastermind of her pain. Why will she drop her in the middle of nowhere? She assured me Nyla was okay, and that I’m stupid to believe her lies. Just then my phone rang, checking the caller ID, it was Lily.

Why is she calling? I thought for a moment before clicking on the blue button.

“Jason, mother is on her way to register your daughter as hers.” Lily’s voice rang over the phone, the urgency of the information pulled my car to a halt.

“What! What do you mean?” I asked again to be sure I was hearing right.
