I clenched my pup close, tears freely falling down my cheek. I can’t believe I nearly lost him.

Lucian occasionally glanced at me, then back on the road without saying anything. I knew he had so much he had to say, but instead, he was silent. This was a moment for me, I couldn’t stop having his void and emptiness in my heart if Felix was gone.

I have lost one already, how could I lose another? The thing that kept hurting me more was because I wanted to make a change, a difference. To see people I love happy. I want to make that sacrifice, but I keep making more mistakes like I’m going around a prism circle. What if I don’t have to do anything? What if I just have to let go of everything and not struggle for anything? What if it’s just meant to be?
