Nyla’s POV

“You have to come to me to my in-laws house.”

I had no choice but to accept what Damien suggested. That’s just the only way I could compensate him. His face fell, I could see hurt in his eyes.

I just couldn’t do otherwise either, my mind is already made up.

“Fine, I will go with you,” he squeezed my hand tightly.

“Thank you,” he said gratefully, but I don’t see any reason why he should be grateful to me. I haven’t done anything important for him.
