Chapter 61. Don’t Push Me

EVERLY

Kaelan has not changed his cold attitude toward me and I’m not comfortable with it. I don’t know if he was still mourning his fallen warriors or just mad at me for failing to bring them back to life.

Whatever reason he had, I was done putting up with the silent treatment.

It had been two days since he complained about my little conversation with Jordan and he still hadn’t spoken a single word to me. He didn’t even act as if I was there when we had our meals. He would just sit there, eating silently while I fumed.

I hated this.

I had tried to break the ice more times than I could count. I’d bought him some shirts but he just tossed them aside and said nothing.

I’d sat next to him, brushing my fingers against his but he moved his hand away. I even wore one of his shirts to bed last night, hoping the sight of me wearing his clothes would make him laugh but he pretended not to notice.

I was done.

I was at my breaking point.
