“Put your hands up and shut your eyes,” many warriors, about six of them, were busy punishing a young man.

I moved closer and gasped. Evan, my brother, was on his knees, one of his hands pressed against his side where blood seeped through his tunic, while the other hand raised up high.

“What the heck is going on?”

Evan’s face was contorted in pain, and his breathing was labored. It was as if he wasn’t getting enough air.

Crescent Moon warriors had their weapons drawn, and their eyes burned with anger.

My aunt was on the ground, and her hands were with iron cuffs.

They must have been mistaken as spies.

Kaelan had given a strict order earlier today.

The sight of my brother at the verge of death made me growl with so much fury that the ground beneath us seemed to shake.
