Chapter 70. Evan Is Defeated

I couldn’t sleep last night because I couldn’t take my mind off Evan and the battle he was about to face.

We were twins and the bond is definitely there. I wanted to help him but Kaelan wouldn’t let me.

I don’t understand why.

Evan definitely has his own powers but it wasn’t awakened yet. He only had a few of Kaelan’s Lycans to back him up.

Kaelan has said I should keep my distance, and I had to obey Kaelan’s decree. But I was afraid for Evan.

I rose from my bed quite early and headed to Evan’s room in the guest quarters but he was already gone. I wanted to at least give him some words of encouragement.

But now, he was gone.

I returned to my room and stood in front of the mirror. Slowly, I closed my eyes and tried to envision Evan on the battlefield.

As if I was in a trance, I saw it.

Claws clashed against steel and some Wolves cried in anguish as Marcus’s forces advanced relentlessly.
