I should have stopped. Should have pushed Lake away, explained that I couldn’t do this, that my head was fucked up and I couldn’t be trusted. But I didn’t. Instead, I pulled Lake closer, kissing him harder, leaving marks on his neck that would definitely bruise.
Lake whimpered—that sound I loved, that sound that meant he was overwhelmed with pleasure. But in my mind, it wasn’t nineteen-year-old Lake making that sound. It was fourteen-year-old Lake, scared and d***ged and seeking comfort.
*Stop*, my rational mind screamed. *This is wrong. This is sick. You need to stop.*
But I couldn’t. My body had taken over, driven by some dark urge I didn’t fully understand. I’d completely forgotten about Lake’s healing ribs, was grinding against him hard enough that it must have hurt. But Lake just gasped and arched into me, his head falling back.
I attacked his exposed throat, leaving more marks, claiming him in a way that felt possessive and wrong
