“She’s got you wrapped around her finger,” Loki remarked.
Brent laughed in the driver’s seat. “I knew he was hooked the second I saw them together.”
“Quiet you, before I put you on Ana duty.”
Brent grimaced. “I can’t shake her boss.”
That’s Ana for sure. After Paris’s shift ended in a couple of hours she was returning with me to my penthouse thank goodness. All the bad memories should crumble in that house. Memories of my mother crying, clutching those damn unicorn sheets to her chest invaded my mind. She found out my Father was cheating and she had just lost a child it was too much for her. I didn’t blame my Mother for leaving but when she left the foundation of our family collapsed.
If she stayed I wouldn’t have become the man I am now. I blame my Father and his mistress. Just a shame I still have to see her face.
