Chapter 24. A Target on the Alpha's Girl
Marcel barked out a laugh. “Relax, Kitten I’m not going to eat you. I mean us being together for the first time during the full moon. Of course, we don’t need the full moon.”
Heat rushed to my cheeks and my core. I tucked a hair behind my ear and swallowed.
“Oh right, that.”
I turned and walked to the cabinets on the other end of the kitchen.
“What? What’s wrong?” Marcel demanded.
I felt his frame behind me as I examined the countertops with a thundering heart.
“You told me you weren’t a virgin.”
I shut my eyes and cringed.
“I mean… technically—”
“There is no technically you are or you’re not.”
I believed his blood was boiling all that was missing was the steam.
“I am a virgin. The last guy I came close with freaked out when I told him I’d never done it. He left before it happened.”
