Chapter 78. The Days
I didn’t know why I had a bit of compassion for this woman, maybe it was because she had a son. I put myself in her son’s shoes, he must be terrified. I was sure all he wanted was his Mom. It took me back to all those years when my Mom left. I waited for days and all I wanted was for her to come home. She never did. I had her necklace somewhere in my things at the apartment I wished I had it to squeeze right now.
I didn’t want to feel emotion because all that happened a long time ago and I thought I’d gotten passed it. However, the buried emotions were coming up again.
