“You lured me here to kill me, huh?” Marcel spat.

I gripped his arm because I didn’t want him to lunge at Gary. We’ve escaped this fire demon a lot of times but why did I feel like this time we’d run out of luck?

I sniffed the air and smelt smoke. I imagined the demon surrounding the property in a horrible angry flame.

“I’m ashamed to say I underestimated you. You weren’t supposed to last long. I realized the problem was your fated mate. I tried to get rid of her but somehow she always got away. My brother did make a mistake when he picked Malik over you.”

“I’m sorry Kitten,” Marcel whispered.
