Chapter 72. One Last Time

Mia stepped into the uppermost part of the High Tower and found Xavier staring out the window at the night sky filled with stars. She had asked around for him after going to their chambers at the estate and not finding him there. Then the priest told her he saw him walking towards the uppermost inn in the High Tower. Mia followed his directions, and here she was, in the same space as her husband.
