I was stronger. I could feel it in my blood, pumping through me with every passing heartbeat. And to think this happened after the marriage.

I couldn't help but wonder if the new strength came from Devyn’s bite. Mates share emotions, strengths, and even weaknesses. Ironically, As our bond grew stronger, tolerating him became increasingly difficult.

I recalled the punch I gave him the other night and a smirk began to creep on my face.

He deserved it. And so much more.

“You seem happy this morning,” Praya interrupted, snapping me out of my thoughts.

“I actually feel happier; I don’t know why.”
