Chapter 33. Duties and Responsibilities
I dipped my head into the water, enjoying the gentle embrace of its warmth as it delicately caressed my skin. The sensation worked its way through me, untangling the knots of tension in my muscles from the training. When I came back to the surface, I released a deep breath that relieved my stress. With my hair clinging to my face , I pulled the strands away from my vision.
My gaze fell on Praya swimming through the water at the opposite side, her vibrant red hair cascading around her.
This was therapy.
I recalled what her siblings had said to her about shifting and I was curious to know what they meant by that.
As she swam back and leaned her arms on the lakefront, I asked.
“I overheard Jessica mentioning something about not being able to shift. What did she mean?”
She looked at me with drooped eyelids, and a shadow darkened her expression. “I cant shift. I haven’t been able to transform into my wolf.”
