My mate pulled me into my arms, and a scream erupted close by. Alpha Temmus was lying on the ground, covered in his own blood. He was clearly tortured before he was dropped from the roof of the packhouse. His daughter, Silvina, screamed and attempted to run to her father, but some people around her held her.

“Look there!” someone shouted, pointing at the white wall of the pack. There were large words written: Traitors die. Others will follow. Give me my chosen warrior wolf. I felt blood leave my body, and I staggered back. Hayes held me tighter to him.
