Chapter 160. A Weakling

Ox’s POV.

Flashback.

It was time for breakfast. Peggy was still fast asleep but I made a mental note to ask one of the servants to get breakfast to the room for her. They were to include very delicious and healthy meals so that the wounds on her body will heal up very nicely. They were also to prepare a warm medicinal bath for her and massage her. All of that was to be done immediately she woke up.

Last night I had spent a lot of time just looking at her. Even in her sleep she seemed so terrified and scared of the whole world. She seemed like she would wake up any minute or have a nightmare and it made me feel sad.

She was such a beautiful, innocent souls and she didn’t deserve whatever was happening to her now. I didn’t plan for all of this.

Especially the part where Brown had the audacity to assault her. It made me quicken preparations to go down and have breakfast, the thought of seeing Brown.
