Chapter 161. The Ceremony

Brown shot me a look and he couldn’t even conceal his fear that I knew something anymore. I allowed him look at me all he wanted before he turned and left almost hurriedly with his slave.

Brown knew I would deal with him mercilessly if he happened that I found out that he was responsible for what had happened to Peggy.

I got up and went upstairs to check on Peggy. She was still asleep and the slaves I had sent to the room where all waiting for her to wake up outside the room. I didn’t go in as well. She needed her rest. I would check back later .

I turned and headed to my office just some distance from my quarters, on the same floor. I needed to go through some files and look at the boss’s schedule.

Everyone in the house had a copy of his schedule and that was so we could know when to approach him for anything. I saw that he was free the coming weekend and I slotted in a meeting for the both of us.

It was time for us to talk.
