Chapter 136
Thomas Sallow stood frozen in place, his hand still on the doorknob, as he heard the firm, questioning voice of the blind female sitting on the bed. Slowly, he turned, but even then he didn't quite know what to say. What he had done was completely wrong. When he saw her in the hallway, he wanted to speak to her but remembered how he had frightened her the last time. Before he realized it, he was following her to her quarters. His heart pounded wildly when he saw her delicate fingers start to undo the dress’s lace at her chest. Immediately, Thomas stiffened and turned to leave, trying not to make a sound. It didn't matter that she was blind and couldn’t notice him watching her.
