Chapter 154
John stopped his horse, and King walked up to him. His expression was dreadful, with deep dark circles under his eyes, which appeared dull.
When King approached, John didn’t get off his horse, he just stared at him.
“Are you leaving? I need a private audience, Commander.”
“What you need doesn’t matter to me, goodbye.”
The commander almost charged his horse at King, but King didn’t give up. He knocked one of his guards off his horse and mounted, following John as if his life depended on it.
The commander heard the sound of King’s horse behind him and ignored him for several minutes, until they reached the long road leading north. King managed to catch up with him, and John ignored him for hours, yet King didn’t give up.
When the commander had to stop to let his horse feed, Tiberius seized his chance.
