Chapter 64

The woman guided them down the stairs to the long hallway filled with doors. As she walked, the sounds grew louder.

Screams from women came from various doors. Gracie tried not to imagine what was happening behind them. Fortunately, the room designated for them was the last one in the hallway, although it was still possible to hear the moans from the other rooms; it could have been worse.

The woman who attended them, introducing herself as Amethyst, opened the door to the room. She turned to Henry and handed him the key. Gracie noticed in the woman’s gaze how much she desired to be called by Henry.

“Are you sure you don’t want anything else?” she asked in a sultry voice.

Henry nodded and pulled Gracie into the room. He closed the door but didn’t lock it, as they were waiting for a meal.

The room was simple, with only a bed. Gracie looked at Henry.

“You’re going to sleep on the floor, right?”

He looked at her, then at the bed.
