Chapter 16. Moving in

Emily's POV

As I walked back to my apartment after seeing my father at the hospital, I felt a lot better and free, like the air after a heavy rain. The tears seemed to have purged me of the hate, and grudge and sadness I'd been holding on to for a long time. I couldn't help but think about how my life was about to change drastically. Berton's help and the contract I'd signed were about to take me on a new journey.

It felt like just yesterday that my biggest worry was my father's health. Now I was about to move into the home of the future Alpha of our Pack. I packed my belongings, feeling all excited and nervous as well. Most of my possessions fit into just a few bags. My apartment was small and modest, and I knew I was going to miss it so much.
