Chapter 24. I Want You

Berton's POV

I was so happy going into work that morning. I'd never felt that happy and so ready to do whatever the day was going to throw at me. It was one of the most satisfying feelings I'd ever experienced and I wanted to run back to her and experience it again. We had only held hands, but it felt a lot better than that.

I couldn't wait to go see her in the evening. It was weird, yeah, but I knew we would soon get used to it. Besides, she wasn't even complaining and had signed the contract. As soon as I was done with work in the evening, I hurried back to my room and freshened up before heading down for breakfast and coming back to her room. She was reading a book when I walked into the room.

"No Piano today?" I asked, surprised that I hadn't seen her at the music room on the organ. She chuckled and sat up straight before shaking her head.

"No. Good evening." She said.
