Berton's POV

"Good morning," I placed my hand against the headrest of the seat and pulled the seat around the dining table. Emily lifted her head to look at me and a smile curved on her lips. She looked extremely beautiful this morning. She was always beautiful but this morning, there was something about her looks.

Was it because her skin seemed to glow even more lately? Her eyes had a spark whenever she looked at me or talked about her dreams. She looked so happy that I found it difficult to look away from her. She radiated both light and joy.

"Good morning," she replied while I settled down on the seat. She slowly sipped her coffee, but her eyes were locked on me the whole time.

"How was your night?" I asked, taking off the cloche that revealed the nice delicacy which was laid on the table.
