I paced around the room, scared and worried. The doctor and the nurses were yet to relay the news of the operation. How long would it take before they reveal the condition of my father's health?

My heart was beating faster in my ears and I could feel my heartbreak with the thought of losing my father. I crossed my fingers, praying to the Moon Goddess that she spared my father. He was the only one I had by my side, the only one I could turn to. The only family I had left in this cruel world.
