Chapter 63. Gone Too Soon

Berton's POV

I woke up to the soft light of the morning sun filtering through the curtains. For a moment, I felt so disoriented and my body was sore.

"Uugh..." I groaned, stretching and reaching for Emily. But there was nobody by my side.

The sheets were still warm so I guessed she was in the bathroom. My head was filled with the hazy memories of last night as as I slowly began to recall the events, a heavy feeling of guilt settled over me. I stopped for a moment, trying to remember everything that had happened last night. I couldn't believe what I had done to her.

I'd thought it was just a normal sex about we'd had before but I'd been coercive last night. I'd dragged her to the hotel and... Oh My God! What had I done? I sat up in bed, as I scanned the room. I waited to know if I would hear any sound from the bathroom but there was nothing, there was no sign of her.
