Chapter 74. Hopeless Situation

Berton's POV

I was both troubled and worried, wondering where exactly I could find her. I had tried reaching her several times, but still nothing was hot. Perhaps I could check her home, but the question was if she was still there.

I paced around the room, contemplating and wondering if I should still do something. Should I go to her home? But what should I do when I get there and she sees me? How will she react? Would she be able to talk to me or allow me to see her? Unable to hold it any longer, I rushed out of the room and got into the car.

There was only one way to stop bothering myself over this, and find out what her reaction would be. I drove hastily back to her home and knocked on her door but still got no response. Was she intentionally ignoring me? How do I speak with her then? I knocked again waiting for her response, but I got nothing, so I decided to talk to her to open the door.
