Chapter 94. Just a Moment of Your Time

Emily's POV

My heart was pounding in my chest as I watched in horror as the car careened towards him. I froze, staring in shock and fear as he fell to the ground. Time seemed to slow down as I saw the impact, and heard the sickening crunch of metal against flesh. His body was flung, rolling over the car and then landed on the ground.

The world spun around me as I slowly forced myself to move and ran towards his motionless body, his blood staining the pavement crimson. Tears streamed down my face as I knelt beside him, my hands trembling as he checked for a pulse. I sighed in relief, feeling the faint pulse. His once vibrant eyes were slowly closing, and I felt my world shatter into a million pieces.
