Chapter 78. What’s Wrong with Gerry?

I followed Izzy as she made her way to the beta's guest quarters. I stayed a few paces behind and I prayed that I would not get caught. She stopped at the door. She took a few glances around the area, and then she hurried inside.

I walked up to the door and heard Izzy talking to someone. Gerry, maybe. Who else could have been in there?

"So why didn't you say something?" I stood up and brushed off my elbows and knees.
