Chapter 78. What’s Wrong with Gerry?

HAZEL'S POV

I followed Izzy as she made her way to the beta's guest quarters. I stayed a few paces behind and I prayed that I would not get caught. She stopped at the door. She took a few glances around the area, and then she hurried inside.

I walked up to the door and heard Izzy talking to someone. Gerry, maybe. Who else could have been in there? 

"No one can find out about this, Isabelle."

Wait! Is that Zander? I placed my ear against the door. I needed to know what they were talking about. The door swung open and I fell on my face.

"I knew you were following me," Isabelle smirked.

"So why didn't you say something?" I stood up and brushed off my elbows and knees.

"Nah! This was way funnier," she giggled.

Zander had a stoic look on his face."Good morning, Hazel."
