Chapter 24. Your Friendship

The party is in full swing when I drive in with Saphira. 

 We arrive at the same time with Mercedes and Zane, my timing is perfect. I want to show the Alpha I can get a sexy date as well. As the ideal gentleman I am, I help Saphira out of my car and walk to the door with our hands intertwined. In the meantime, I make sure the couple behind notices us clearly, while I don't peek at them in any way. Once we've found our friends at a table, we easily blend in. I fist-bump a few, others get a neat handshake. 

It is clearly a successful party, there is unlimited expensive alcohol available. A live band and DJ, take care of the entertainment, the music is good and the improvised dance floor is packed. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Mercedes enter through the front door alone. Clarita immediately rushes to her, probably because of the box of presents Mercedes has with her. One of the advantages of inviting Mercedes to a party, she never arrives empty-handed.
