Chapter 25

Mist's POV

“You did that on purpose.” She snarled as she slammed me into the bookcase knocking several books to the floor. I smiled to look innocent, letting her hit me until I’d had enough, slamming her against a wall as I moved my hand around strangling her.

“Who’s the mangy one now, blondie?” I smiled. “I’ll keep it up until Stephen comes.”

“You don’t need to go on.” I turned my face, undoing my hand as she fell to the ground, crawling towards him for protection, but what she got was a slap in the face.

She put her hand to her cheek with her head lowered as she apologized even at her feet. And where was this girl’s dignity? He turned away from her and came closer to me, taking my face in his hands.

“Did he hurt you, misty?” I denied, smiling
