He stood next to me running his hand over my shoulder as he pulled me closer to him letting me feel the warmth emanating from his body. It soothed me as always, so I settled in more.

“Feeling better?” I nodded as I moved my leg, the potion taking effect. I was feeling much better. “I’m really glad, although I’m starting to worry that Nix hasn’t shown up already.”

“She’s not coming; I know her, and she’s not coming. Right now, it doesn’t affect her whether I come back or not because I’m no longer part of her life.” 

I explained. “It’s like this, she saw that she screwed up when she went crazy to look for me because it turned out I was with Nauto, and now she doesn’t plan to lift a finger since, according to her, there’s a chance I might go back with him.”
