Mist's POV

“Ya, your sister told me your story. It must be hard to live alone at a young age.” she smiled at me. She smiled at me. “But that’s in the past now; you have me now, and I’ll try to give you everything in my power to make you happy, even if you don’t love me the same way I love you.”

It was turned over by putting all the chopped vegetables in a pot with water.

He was willing to make me happy no matter how I felt about him. It was something tender and kind on his part, something that touched me. He was a person of well-imposed values who asked for nothing in return, and people like that don’t come around every day. He had given me protection and a home in addition to having a few months without vampires trying to kill me, and above all, he gave me love without expecting anything in return.
