“You bit me.” Her hand flew to her neck; strange as it was, she felt no pain; she only shuddered as she remembered the long fangs she had seen; they looked like huge needles.

Erian swallowed hard; he had gotten carried away, mistaken his lust for hunger, and had ended up taking a small bite out of her if not for the noise of the phone... He shuddered; he wanted to think he would have been strong enough to resist a little longer. He didn’t know how hungry he was until he had attacked Charlotte; he closed his eyes tightly; what he had done was simply hopeless, for the last he had tried to get into her mind, but he had met a firm wall that wouldn’t let him through, being her partner he could never read her thoughts, let alone erase them.

“You bit me!” he exclaimed in disbelief.

She opened her mouth, but instead of saying something the words just wouldn’t come out and she closed it, she felt lik
