Alpha Thor’s POV

I finished eating and left my mother to continue while I attended to pressing matters. By the time I got to my office in the East Wing of the castle, Kane was already seated and waiting for me.

“Oh, you’re finally here…” He said as soon as I got in. His voice was laced with sarcasm, and I could tell why.

“Yes, Mother joined me for breakfast today,” I replied as I settled into my chair on the opposite side of the office desk. Some papers were on my table alongside documents waiting for me to open them.

“That’s lovely. I’m happy to hear that,” Kane replied. I ignored his stare as I tried to sort through the papers on my desk. “The pack leaders have sent in the tax collections from their respective towns. I had them put away safely in the treasury house.”
