Zena’s POV
I woke up a bit earlier today. It was the final day for preparations for the ball, and I didn’t want to miss a thing. I couldn’t tell if my son remembered that we were to have the ball tomorrow, but the ongoing preparations ought to have informed him enough.
“Yisa, help me freshen up, then get my walking stick,” I ordered one of the maids. As soon as I was done eating and taking my food and medicines, I got up to go to the ballroom.
“Luna, let me come with you,” my maid offered as she stretched her arm to hold me.
“No, I’m fine. I will manage on my own today. Instead, take the rest of the invitation cards from the butler and keep them safe in my room. I don’t want just anyone getting their hands on them.”
