Alpha Thor’s POV

My suitcase had been packed and taken to the limo, which would drive me to my private jet. I had planned a last-minute trip outside Cordena. I personally knew I had no serious business to attend to, but I didn’t care. I needed to leave, and as fast as possible. I needed to clear my head.

What the fuck had I done? Grabbing her like that, kissing her like that, marking her! That was the stupidest thing I had ever done in my entire life, and I hardly did stupid things. What had come over me? How could I allow myself to lose control, to give myself to her like that? Now she was marked. She was mine.

And...and I had hurt her. My heart left my body when she turned and ran away from me like I was some sort of monster. I could feel her fear even as she ran. Why did I do that? Why?!
