Chapter 38
Giloed’s POV
“Send him in.”
I was seated at the head of the round table while I waited for the man from Cordena to come in. He was soon ushered in by one of my men. He looked every bit like one of the guards from the Blue Moon pack. He even had on their uniform.
“Take a seat. What’s your name?”
The man sat down two seats away from me. I didn’t want to think that he was scared of me, but it seemed like it. Well, he actually should be.
“My name is Spyril,” he answered simply.
“Well, Spyril...I hear you have something for me.”
“Yes, I got your message asking me to join you.”
“Yes. And have you made up your mind?”
“I’ll take the offer, but I want twice the pay you offered.”
I paused.
“Okay. How sure am I that I can trust you? I mean, yes, your brother used to be one of us before he died, but still, I don’t know you personally.”
“I heard of the prophecy too, Giloed. I think it’s only right that I drift toward the win
