Charlotte’s POV

I was done trimming the flowers outside. Today I decided to try something new. I was always working in the kitchen. I enjoyed it, though. The heat, the beautiful mix of ingredients to prepare the tastiest meals for the castle dwellers...everything. But today I decided to go out for some fresh air.

It had been a few days since I saw the Alpha. Yaya had informed us that he was away on a trip and that the maid assigned to take his coffee to him every morning shouldn’t bother till he returned.

It was hilarious that I missed him so much, judging from the way I ran away from him the last time I saw him. He filled my thoughts with every moment of the day.

I still couldn’t believe that I had been mated to the Alpha of the Blue Moon pack. Thor Wolfshield.

My mate.

I knew that didn’t mean anything, though. Thor couldn’t settle for a maid, a poor maid like myself who had nothing to offer. He had Dana, his girlfriend.

There was no hope,
