Charlotte’s POV

I woke up the following night tired and sore. After the first lovemaking with Thor in the night, I had completely blacked out from exhaustion. But then we woke up much earlier in the morning and went at it again. And again. And again.

I reached out with my hand to the other side of the bed, my eyes still closed. I couldn’t feel anything. He was not there. Slowly I opened my eyes. The sun had come out fully, but the large thick curtains were still dropped, so they shielded the bright light from getting into the room. I was grateful for it.

Just then, my ears caught a sound coming from the bathroom. The shower was on. Maybe that was where Thor was.

My thoughts went to the activities of the previous night and how I had held him and allowed him to hold me. How I had called out his name like...like he was mine. Like we had a relationship.
