Chapter 10. Love, Hate, and Rejection

[Present]

“Sir! Miss Giselle is in pain!”

I was already dizzy, but I saw Caden’s face look paler than mine. He immediately sat on the side of the bed and felt my forehead with his hand. “Giselle, tell me what’s happening!”

“I-I don’t know... I just suddenly felt so sick I couldn’t eat or sleep—”

“Go call Dr. Miller, quick!” Caden yelled at one of the maids standing by the door.

I didn’t know what was happening to me. But all those awful thoughts and self-blaming made it so difficult for me to sleep for two days. Eating didn’t help at all. I threw up everything that I put into my mouth, so I ended up having just water the whole day.
