I couldn’t look him in the eye.
Even while having lunch, Caden and I were silent as a graveyard. We didn't dare speak a single word, especially about what happened when he broke into my room the other night. I should be angry. But then I thought I had no right to feel that way because I didn’t protest when he kissed me. I liked what happened, and I couldn’t lie to myself.
His dark hair was disheveled, and he looked as if he hadn’t slept well since that night.
