“What are you going to do now?”

I couldn’t look at my best friend’s face as she handed me a cup of hot, black coffee. I didn’t feel well that day, and I wished I could stay with baby Catherine. I didn’t want her to feel that bad vibe oozing from me because I could feel that my child could also feel when I was stressed or feeling miserable.

Confused and needing someone to talk to, I called Madelyn, and we met at our favorite coffee shop in the city. Thankfully, there were few people inside when my best friend arrived with a huge smile on her face, having no idea that it was one of the worst days of my life.
