Chapter 50. A Desperate Move

Caden had been keeping his promise. And even though my parents were all aware of what happened to Einsworth Manor, which was the place I chose to stay rather than the Sidney Mansion, my mate made sure one hundred percent that our secrets would be safe away from my family.

But I was not certain we could hide that from my sister for too long. Gretta was already suspicious that there was something between Caden and me. It would be a matter of time until she knew she already had a niece named Catherine Einsworth and the little baby was still missing.

To be honest, I felt so useless for just staying inside Marissa’s condo. I felt like I would go insane waiting all day for Caden’s message, just to find out if they had any leads on who the culprits were. If it weren't for my best friend Madelyn, I would have already lost my wits.

Madelyn wanted to stay with me the whole
