Madelyn and I’s conversation occupied my thoughts for the whole day, and even when I was busy playing with baby Catherine, I still couldn’t get it out of my mind. Surprisingly, Caden went back from work too early, and they saw each other in the hallway of the second floor.

He smiled at me, though, but I ignored him and gave him a cold shoulder until I saw that disappointment on his face. The nerve! I couldn’t believe he expected me to smile back at him when he knew I was still upset about him lying to me.

Was he thinking that I had already forgiven him just because he apologized to me already?!

That’s crazy!
