“I’m scared.”
Caden glanced at me briefly as he drove us back to the Einsworth Manor. “What do you mean?”
“I think Gretta knows something. I think she could feel I was lying to them the whole time,” I replied with an anxious face. “Do you think it would be better if I just told them the whole truth?”
“The question is, are you ready to face their opinions and reactions once you tell them?” ” Caden said the words so plainly that it suddenly pissed me off.
My brow deepened into a frown. “Are you not worried about what is happening? That’s Gretta! And she looked at me with those suspicious eyes! Isn’t that enough to feel scared already?”
