Chapter 52. The Right Thing

Otis POV

“What the f*ck are you thinking, Otis?! You didn’t tell me it was the daughter of the Greyfur Alpha! Are you wishing for a war against those powerful *ssholes?!”

Frederick’s nostrils were flaring, and I couldn’t help but sigh. I gazed at his panicked face as he struggled to calm down after I made him work on a mission I knew would end the pack that I had worked so hard to attain after so many years.

“I know what I am doing, Fred. You just have to pretend that you are the Alpha in front of Giselle. I can’t let her know it was me who took her daughter. As much as I hate it, I have to take her away from my half-brother.”

Frederick gave me a hateful, side-eyed look, and I couldn’t blame him for it. “So you are doing this because you feel something for that woman? Or because you just want to punish that man?”
