Chapter 59. Letter
“Are you sure you and Cath will be alright? I can just cancel my meetings and go back, Giselle. I am worried sick about her.”
“No…No, she will be alright, Otis.” I chewed my lip as I looked at my five-year-old child lying on her little bed. Cath was breathing hard. Her face was flushed, and she was burning with fever.
I was panicking inside, but I never wanted Otis to worry about us, so I calmed myself down while wiping Cath with a wet towel. It somehow relaxed her a bit, and she was slowly getting sleepy.
“I can book a flight right away after this meeting.” Otis sounded frustrated with himself, and I could picture him brushing his hand through his golden hair as I heard him sigh helplessly.
I felt bad that he was really anxious, knowing he was far away and couldn’t do anything for Cath. However, his slight overreaction made me smi
