Otis POV

“Otis, are you sure about this?”

I didn’t answer. Nothing could stop me. It was inevitable, and Fred knew that.

“He will surely kill you, dude! This is crazy!”

I could sense the panic in his voice despite his effort to hide it, “I have to do this, Fred. I will be okay, though. He can’t kill me when he knows I have his mate and his child.”

“We don’t know that.”

My eyes sharpened. My body tensed. Not because I was intimidated by Caden Einsworth’s presence and the menacing aura he emitted as he glared at me. He had no idea who I was. He didn’t know me.
